Hi, I'm Ganesan Arjunan

A seasoned UX design leader with over 18 years of experience shaping impactful designs for organizations like Oracle, Rakuten, Trimble, Harman,

Manchester United, and Itron.

Currently serving as the UX Principal at Oracle for 25 million people, I execute individual end-to-end design, leading transformative initiatives that have elevated user satisfaction by 50%, reduced design cycle time by 70%, and implemented a successful Data & AI usability testing program.

Previously at Rakuten, I introduced UX processes and founded a UX Center of Excellence, ensuring seamless experiences for 25K users on the Rakuten Cloud Platform. At Trimble, as a UX Lead, I streamlined the User-Centric Design Process, resulting in a 75% reduction in design cycle time, serving 1 million people using Hilti On!Track and Trimble AllTrak applications.

Beyond corporate roles, I'm the proud Founder of Design Sangam, a non-profit focused on positive change. At Design Sangam, I've achieved impactful metrics, coaching design thinking for 800+ rural government school children, conducting a Design Festival for 500+ people across 17 villages and 3 government schools, and coaching UX Design for 11 rural graduates, successfully placing them as UX Designers, all with the ultimate goal of serving communities and users in underserved areas.

Academically certified in Designing Strategy and Leading for Creativity from IDEO, my passion lies in solving complex business problems through great design and research. I thrive on growing and leading teams to deliver impactful user experiences while contributing to the broader UX community through coaching and mentorship.

My Story

From my childhood, had a love for science, art and innovation. Was eager to become a scientist but without career awareness studied history in high school, after that not interested for regular college study. There was a dot for my dream.

Then I picked second love art and learned visual design by self-study and came out of my village and started my career as a visual designer in Chennai city.

While working as a designer, I understand about design is all about understanding people, their stories, their pain, their needs, research synthesising, ideating, designing and testing with people. Then It was a tremendous pull towards UX design.

Learned usability analyst by self-study. In couple of years took a role of UX architect in Harman international and started making positive experience in customers daily life through design.

Connected the dots backwards for science & innovation and keep learning design and keep innovating.
